The tool can also be used by policymakers to understand their region\u2019s current economic conditions for e-waste recycling.<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-af5fe6a elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"af5fe6a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The tool is the result of a dismantling campaign conducted by the DRZ-Dismantling and Recycling Centre in 2013. The campaign analysed the composition of output fractions after dismantling 13 relevant appliance groups (desktop PCs, notebooks, monitors, TV-sets, printers, mobile phones, etc.). The average times for dismantling these appliance groups were collected for three different efficiency-scenarios (high, medium, low).\n\n<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6e3ee81 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"6e3ee81\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Applied dismantling levels<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9fa071e elementor-icon-list--layout-traditional elementor-list-item-link-full_width elementor-widget elementor-widget-icon-list\" data-id=\"9fa071e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"icon-list.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"elementor-icon-list-items\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"elementor-icon-list-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-icon-list-text\">Superficial dismantling: Hazardous components and high valuable components, like printed circuit boards, are removed only and the remaining parts are destined for mechanical separation\/recycling.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8f9ed03 level dismantling: Apart from removing hazardous components, manual dismantling of components into more or less pure materials and recyclable fractions is conducted where viable with reasonable results of the tool provide recommendations indicating which dismantling depth is most suitable under the existing national framework conditions.<\/p><p>The tool has been applied to develop business plans in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/open.unido.org\/api\/documents\/4784194\/download\/e-Waste%20Treatment%20Facility%20in%20Uganda%20-%20Economic%20Feasibility%20Study\" target=\"_blank\"
